Nazra at the 74th Venice International Film Festival

Nazra- Palestine Short Film Festival will be presented in the frame of the 74th Venice International Film Festival in the presence of President Luisa Morgantini, artistic director Stefano Casi, curator Franca Bastianello, with the participation of representatives of Italian and Palestinian associations involved in the project, and with the participation of Ambassador of Palestine Mai Alkaila.

“The Venice International Film Festival is officially recognised by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Association).
The aim of the Festival is to raise awareness and promote international cinema in all its forms as art, entertainment and as an industry, in a spirit of freedom and dialogue. The Festival also organises retrospectives and tributes to major figures as a contribution towards a better understanding of the history of cinema.”

Mediterraneo_DowntownIn occasione della serata Med Movie Night, racchiusa nel programma di “Mediterraneo Downtown. Dialoghi-Culture-Società”, verrà presentato Nazra-Palestine Short Film Festival, il festival itinerante in molte città italiane e palestinesi, che vuole raccontare storie di diritti umani in Palestina. Durante la serata costituita da 5 documentari per scoprire nuove prospettive dal cinema mediterraneo, attraverso il linguaggio del documentario e dell’inchiesta giornalistica, si parlerà inoltre di Libia e Afghanistan, storie di diritti e riscatto con varie proiezioni fra cui “Blackness” di M. Bakri e “The Game” di L. Parisi
